Production (Filming): Day 2

During this filming day on the 4th of February, we filmed arguably the most important scene of the short film. This was the internal shots of the short film, including entry to the house, the main section including the prank call, and the introduction of personalities to the characters in the short film.

First of all we discussed the plan at a local cafe in Banbury near the filming location. This was so we could save time during the filming process. We then set up the relevant equipment at the filming location of my house. This included the tripod, Nikon D3000, and the rode mic. With help from our detailed story board and script, we commenced with the filming process. I was filming for today as my fellow partner was acting, as he has a lot of experience in acting (see Casting post).

We started filming the scene of Jimmy (danny) and Christian (thomas) with dialogue in the kitchen introducing one another. Then filming the scenes in the living room, the main location for where the turn in the film happens. These scenes were successful and well planned out. This planning was needed as we had the actor Jack Addis as the stalker being on the other end of the phone. Planning was needed for what he was going to say and when he was needed to say it. One scene where the actor Christian is about to hang up on the stalker, however somehow the stalker knows he is about to hang up and stops him. This planning was successful and produced some good shots for us to use.

Later on was the "late night" scenes. This was needed to close the curtains to get rid of at least light as possible. as well as this turning on the lights in the living room, giving a feel of late evening, and before bed time feel.

After the internal shots were finished around 18:30pm, we wrapped up the filming day, and made sure all shots were successfully shot by uploading them to my computer at home and made sure all audio and shots were what we wanted them to be.
